File Locations for CDIMS .exe - C:\Program Files (x86)\CDIMeters\CDIMS (as usual) User data files (CDIMS previously installed) - where they were before (user is notified by the installer) User data files (default on new installation) - C:\Users\[User]\CDIMeters\CDIMS CDIMSUD.txt - pointer so .exe knows where the user files are - C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\CDIMeters\CDIMS Users can move their data files wherever (using CDIMS), but CDIMSUD.txt stays in the same place. CDIMS must be installed on all machines where it will be used. Each user has their own user files on their own machine. Users logging on to other than their own machines will not be able to access their CDIMS files, unless: Files could be kept on a network drive, and accessed by all. Each user would have to point to the files on the network. When the software is run, the first thing the user has to do is click 'Connect'. This finds the COM port, reads the map, and reads the meter data.
